The next Menopause Café is just around the corner. If you haven’t booked yourself on it’s not too late. Please do spread the word as you don’t need to be a class member to attend.
We will start the sessions with ‘Pilates for Pelvic Health’ followed by some resistance training using resistance bands. They’ll need to be at least 2 meters long. If you don’t have one I can provide you with one on the day, £4.00. Just let me know so I can make sure I have plenty with me. We will finish the sessions with ‘Mind Body Flow’ leading us into coffee time. There will be coffee, tea and cold drinks available along with cake and snacks. All of this for £20.00!
Get in touch if you’d like to join me and I’ll forward the booking link.
Autumn really is a wonderful time of year. The changes to our landscape are spectacular. Autumn last year we spent some time in the Wye Valley and every time we stepped out of our holiday cottage it was like stepping out into an oil painting, it was breath taking. We’re hoping to spend some time there again this autumn. Do you have a favourite autumn spot?
More conversations have been taking place at class regarding neck, shoulders and upper back. So, I have added some Pilates work around that area this week and next. The muscles around the neck and shoulders can be troublesome for many reasons so it’s always good to give them some TLC. We’ve been gently releasing, mobilising and strengthening. If you’ve missed these classes don’t worry there will be more in the future.
PILATES AT WICK VILLAGE HALL

What an absolute treat the Olympics has been. Have you been able to watch? The highlight for me was Noah Williams & Tom Daley winning their Silver medal in the synchronised diving. It was so exciting to watch, they were incredible! I held my breath on more than one occasion. It meant so much to them both, all that training and life sacrifices certainly paid off. Well done boys! What was your highlight of the games?
I have been chatting to you all at class and a discussion about hip flexors and quads came up. How they can be tight yet weak. So this has given me ideas for my lesson planning for this block. These conversations are invaluable. I always strive to deliver classes that are relevant to you, your strengths & weaknesses and always to promote functional fitness. So, please keep these conversations going!

Welcome to your newsletter. I chose the above picture as the Beach is most certainly my happy place. I relax the moment I see the sea and love the feeling of the sand beneath my feet. I try to holiday near a beach, whether it’s raining or full sunshine it still has the same feeling for me. I have even themed my office ‘by the sea’ so I can have a little bit of that at home! How about you? Where is your happy place? I’d love to hear.
PELVIC FLOOR CONDITIONING CLASSES
I’ve had such positive feedback regarding these classes and I hope you’re all still doing your homework! We’ve isolated, activated and strengthened, these muscles need to be exercised regularly to keep them strong and responsive regardless of gender.
I will be doing a Pelvic Health workout at the forthcoming Menopause Café in October, so please do secure your place if you’d like to join me as numbers will be limited.
