Welcome to this month’s newsletter. We’re definitely heading towards Spring with the bulbs poking their heads up.
It’s been a busy month for me studying from home. I attended a webinar ‘Osteoporosis and The Fitpro’ and also a workshop ‘Exercise for Mental Health and Wellbeing’. Online training has been truly amazing over the past couple of years. I have been able to do so much more as I haven’t needed to travel. It’s so great to do these events and then bring them to you through your online and community classes.
Getting Outdoors

As you all know I love a jog around the block to clear the cobwebs. I do a lot of thinking and planning during this time. Out in the fresh air, open space and creating a lovely breathing rhythm. It helps me to focus, takes me away from whatever else might be going on.
Stress can be a powerful thing. What’s your get away? It may be a hot bath, read a book or just have a good scream. I’d love to hear any tips or ideas, maybe we could share? It just may help someone else.
WhatsApp Chat!

In our Menopause Matters WhatsApp group we’ve been talking about sleep or lack of it! This is one of the most common symptoms of the menopause. The group have come up with a few tips that work for them.
If experiencing night sweats have a thin blanket over the duvet so you have options with you covering without disturbing your partner too much.
Pukka Night Time Herbal Tea
If waking in the night, read. If using a kindle have it on dark screen mode. This quite often sends you back to sleep.
If you wake in the night and your mind is going at 100 miles an hour, have pen & pad at the ready. Write it down. The thoughts then transfer from your mind onto the paper helping to clear and calm it.
No caffeine after 12pm
Get outside for 15 minutes within an hour of waking without sunglasses, this sets your body clock and helps make you ready for sleep by the evening.
This may be of help to you readers, let me know. Also, whether it’s in relation to the menopause or just lack of sleep in general, do you have something to add?
If you’d like to join the group just send me a text on 07773 492686 and I’ll add you.
