Newsletter October 2023

Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s newsletter. I can’t believe we’re heading in to October already! Do you feel the same as me that this year has just disappeared?! It’s definitely been a very different year for me, I’ve never had so much time off work! However, I have kept myself busy doing a few of the things I don’t normally find the time for which has been the biggest positive.

I saw my consultant who is very pleased with my progress and had discharged me. YAAAAHH!!

My plan is to return to village hall classes for the next block, w/c 2nd October.

I have reviewed the current classes and made a few changes. I do apologise in advance if the new look timetable doesn’t suit you but as you can appreciate I need to ensure a smooth, comfortable transition back into teaching. I will review the classes again in the New Year. Thank you for your understanding.

Tuesday 9:30am – 10:30am Dyrham & Hinton Village Hall

Tuesday 6:30pm – 7:30pm Dyrham & Hinton Village Hall

Wednesday 7:00pm – 8:00pm Dyrham & Hinton Village Hall

Thursday 9:30am – 10:30am Horton Village Hall

If these classes don’t currently suit you are very welcome to continue with online classes.

If you haven’t already please can you let me know your choice ASAP, many thanks.

I plan to return to the Monday 9:00am Facebook Live Pilates class at the end of the October block, the classes will continue as they are for the time being. I have some Holidays planned during October which knock out some of the Mondays. As you can appreciate I have some catching up to do with regards to holidays.

POD CASTS

As you know during my time of rest and rehabilitation I have listened to many POD casts. I’m new to this and I’m now hooked, I absolutely love them! They’re perfect when I’m out on my daily walk. I have listened to informative casts, comedy, interviews and educational. If any of you have some interesting ones please share. I’m currently loving a bit of comedy, Rob Brydon interviewing comedians/actors making me laugh out loud which has sparked a few strange looks from people as I pass by! If you’ve got any favourites do let me know.

The joy of a good book!

There’s nothing quite like getting immersed into a good book. I find it one of the most relaxing things to do. We all have busy lives and it’s important we stop now and again. A break from the day, escaping into another world, country or life, allowing yourself to be transported away. I discovered this author whilst listening to the Graham Norton Saturday morning radio show. Kate was on the show telling us all about her new book.

It’s mainly set in Australia switching between different generations but about the same family. The descriptive writing of the landscape, weather and surroundings is wonderful. You get transported there and you can almost feel the heat and hear the sounds of the countryside. There are twist and turns throughout the story, you think it’s going one way then doesn’t! A very different read for me and I’m loving it. I’ve nearly finished it however still not sure how it’s going to end.

Do you have a favourite book? Please feel free to do a review as I’m always looking out for my next read.

Sharing is caring!
