What I enjoy the most is you don’t follow the same format. The classes are always interesting and different and over a period of time when I look back you have covered different parts of the body and utilised different ’toys’ making it varied. In the past I always had difficulty committing to regular classes, but not with you, which for me is a testament to your excellent teaching. I think you take into account our different ages and always give us different levels or positions to recognise age related conditions. Doing Pilates with you has made me feel better, more supple and stronger and I hope to continue as long as I am able. I enjoy the stretching and mobilising of the body and I respond well to that. I think it’s important as we get older to keep our range of movement as good as possible.

Having attended Sue’s Pilates and Body Con classes for a few years now I recommend her very highly. The classes are always fresh and reach all the right parts. She’s is so attentive to each individual’s needs and suggests alternatives if a certain exercise is not suitable for you. I’ve had back issues for some time and her classes have really helped. The classes are all online via FB at the moment (plus some new ones)and the transition has been seamless and so appreciated during these difficult times. Well done Sue and thanks for all the time and effort you put in to each class.

I attend Sue’s Pilates and Body Con classes each week as they complement each other to keep you strong and supple. During the lockdown period Sue is now delivering these classes and more via FB!! It’s great that we can now join in a live session from the comfort of our own home and chat with our friends from pre-lockdown classes. The class content changes weekly, and once posted, we can re-visit them as often as we like. I really enjoy doing the Pilates session several times a week, as well as the Rest and Relaxation on Thursday evenings. You’ll keep finding little nuggets that Sue posts to keep us on our toes!! Maybe just a 10 min session to get those abs going or just to have a good stretch. There’s something for everyone at all levels to enjoy. Absolutely thoroughly recommended!

I am writing this as a complete Pilates newcomer. After hitting 50 and realising my body was stiffening up (not in a good way!) I decided I needed to do something about it. Sue was recommended to me as a Pilates instructor and I joined her class in Westerleigh to give it a go. The class was very welcoming, relaxing and therapeutic, an oasis of calm for an hour a week. Sue is excellent as an instructor and is extremely patient, even with someone like me who has the coordination of a tasered orangutan, and I would happily recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their flexibility, core strength and mental well being. I have now signed up for the second term, what higher endorsement can I give?

Rob – Pilates at Home

After badly injuring my back in the gym I was introduced to Pilates via one-to-one sessions with Sue, following a couple of months of intensive Physio. It complemented the Physio treatment really well and started to build strength in parts of my core that I’d never developed properly in the gym. Sue’s knowledge and personalised / tailored approach quickly enabled me to grasp the basic exercises and techniques of Pilates and I quickly saw a definite reduction in my back pain and improvement in my overall core strength and general posture. There’s a number of exercises and ideas that I’ve since incorporated into my gym workouts that help me to continually improve my overall fitness.

As we’ve been coming to Pilates for some years we find that it’s a happy environment & also very relaxed. We’ve learnt a lot. Sue lets us work to our ability. The class is small enough for us to be taught almost individually. We thoroughly enjoy Tuesdays.

The Pilates classes are for all ages (young to more senior adults) and suitable for all abilities. They are great fun and vary in content each week. Sue puts good technique at the top of her list, keeping us all safe and happy.

I started doing Pilates as I approached my sixtieth birthday in 2007. More than six years later, I am still attending fortnightly sessions at the Tollhouse Clinic with their instructor, Sue Webb. Sue is an excellent teacher and has been instrumental in keeping me motivated. She keeps the classes fresh with a varied routine and gently coaxes you to achieve that little more each time without ever forcing the pace. Pilates has definitely helped me, as I get older, to maintain flexibility and muscle strength but I would recommend it as a form of exercise for men and woman of any age. The sooner you start, the better.

After doing some one to one Pilates sessions with Sue, I joined a class at Westerleigh. It’s just what I need – working on my core strength is good for my back problems. The exercises are varied and I know that Sue will help me if I’m not doing it right!

Because of the changes I have experienced through your pilates classes I was able to play in the pool and on the beach with my children on holiday last week.
